Tax deductions for owning alpacas

Looking for a way to save money on your taxes? Alpacas may be the answer for you. We have owned alpacas for about seven years, each year we get back almost everything we pay in taxes. This is true for most alpaca owners, of course, want to know how? Just send me a blog and I'll answer as best I can. I am not a professional tax consultant, but, I sure know it works for us.

What's so great about alpaca clothing?

Alpaca is 5 times warmer than wool, hypo-allergenic, soft as silk and will wear forever. Alpaca repels water and moisture, keeping even you feet dry.
You can wear alpaca on a very cold day, or since it breathes on a warm day. There are many beautiful items made from alpaca.
Alpacas are not harmed in the process. They are shorn and their fleece is used to make, clothes, roving's, yarns and more.
Until you feel alpaca and wear it, you don't know what your missing!
if anyone has questions about alpaca clothing and products, please email me and I will try to help you.

Caring for Alpaca Clothing

  1. Since I own Sunset Farms Alpaca Boutique, I am always being asked how to care for Alpaca clothing. Dry cleaning is not recommended, I usually hand wash my alpaca garments in cold water with a mild detergent and a little fabric softener and LAY it out to dry (never hang it up when its wet, your garment will be twice as long by the time it drys). It comes out looking like new.
  2. With larger items (capes, throws, etc.) I put them in the washer (I have a washer with no agitator) on gentle or hand wash cycle, cold water, mild detergent & fabric softener, take it out as soon as the washer stops and again lay it out to dry.
  3. NEVER put alpaca clothing in the dryer unless you want your children to wear it.
  4. There are some specialty products to wash alpaca in if you wish to use them. We care fiber wash in our store: Sunset Farms Alpaca Boutique located at 666 Main St. (RTE 60) in downtown Vermilion, OH. Phone (440) 721-1695.
  5. Any questions, please contact me.
